Some interesting things I have happened to run across this week…
First is this amazing post on Sweetness Itself about dreamers, both passionate and wishful. Very little recently has touched me as much as this post did. It makes me wonder how much passion we lose because we are afraid of, well, losing. Check it out; you won’t regret it.
Next is this Oreo ad that seems to have created quite the controversy. Apparently the ad was never meant to be distributed to the public, but of course it did. Obviously it is a play off of the whole idea of milk and cookies, and it is getting quite a bit of attention. On one side you have people discussing how inappropriate it is to show part of a nipple in public and on the other side you have people praising the company for making breastfeeding images more mainstream. And then there are those who complain about a baby holding a cookie because it supposedly encourages poor eating habits. My take – it’s hysterical. Here is an interesting article from Peaceful Parenting that discussed the controversy in more detail.
And finally I will share something of a personal nature.
This is a drawing Magoo made for me this morning. It is Princess Presto (from Super Why) along with a giant grasshopper that is pretending to be a dragon. It’s quite creative if you ask me.
Enjoy your weekend!
I can definitely see Princess Presto! How creative is that? Yes, that Orea ad has been everywhere hasn’t it? I’m with you. I find it funny. So nice to find your sweet blog!
Yes, Princess Presto is one of her favorites 🙂
Thank-you for checking out my blog and commenting! I’ll go check yours out.
